The difference between (Objective) and (Summary)
In the past, everyone used to start their CV with (Professional Objective) which says: “I am a recent graduate looking for a company to develop my skills.” This is wrong! Companies are not looking for a charity to develop you. In 2026, you should use a (professional summary) that answers the company's question: “What will the company gain from hiring this person?”
Structure of a successful professional summary
To write an irresistible summary, use the (triple equation) formula:
- Your professional identity + years of experience: (Example: digital marketing manager with 7 years of experience...).
- Specialization and most prominent skills: (...Specialized in SEO and managing paid advertising campaigns...).
- The most notable achievement (in numbers) to leave a mark: (...I was able to increase the online sales of my previous company by 150% within one year thanks to advanced analysis techniques).
